The clown and performance artist Alex Tatarsky invited Marguerite Hemmings, Johnathan Gonzalez and I to share a performative offering as part of the opening reception of the installation Fire Season at the Schuylkill Center. Dawning lichen drag, I infect visitors with my lichen love through a performative lecture on its three phases: 1) Learning about lichen 2) Meeting lichen 3) Becoming lichen. This performance took place on my 25th birthday, which was also Yom Kippur.
