In 2023 I had the privilege of being one of the artists in the Launch Pad residency at The Yard in Martha’s Vineyard. I brought physical theater practitioner Livia Chesley and spiritual herbalist Carolina Torres as collaborators. Of the course of a week, we moved together through various practices and scores, some that we each brought and many that emerged through our time together. These were practices of arrival, shifting attention to the land, and communing with the more-than-human. We were working towards a public performance, and we also devoted time to being in these practices as the work itself. And so we also created a zine with many of our practices; it was as important to us to share these rituals as it was to enact them.
